Although DodgeBee is essentially an ‘all-against-all' sport no player will win the game if they do not work with other players.
Opportunities to take lives will appear only through the passing of ‘friendly throws', the throwing of the Frisbee with the deliberate goal of being easily caught by another player.
With the continual use of the ‘friendly throw' the ability to work as small teams will appear with the purpose of hitting a specific player (called a ‘team attack'). An alternative method of play is during a ‘team attack' manoeuvre one of the team players tries to attack another team member as they will be caught unaware of this direction of attack. The ‘team attack' combination can constantly change at any moment, the key example being when a player outside a particular ‘team attack' successfully catches an attacking Frisbee, essentially instantly becoming a member of the team and a new target can be established (alternatively the play can return to a state of ‘friendly throws').
A subtle form attack plays on the rules of ‘friendly throws' where the thrower and intended catcher make eye contact while passing the Frisbee. This natural dynamic of play can be subverted and catch other players out. A skilled player can look towards one person (and continue to look during the manoeuvre) and quickly throw a forceful Frisbee at another player in a different direction. While this method does not guarantee a hit, if the player is not aware of an incoming Frisbee heading in their direction then they may not offer any form of defence possibly resulting in the rare ‘face hit'.
